Ilgiz Gabitov

Technical & HSE Training Coordinator, «Karachaganak petroleum operating» (Kazakhstan)

I work at the Karachaganaksk oil-gas condensate field, I coordinate various training courses for technicians of the «Karachaganak Petroleum Operating» company. My first profession is Engineer of Fire Safety, and I worked for 10 years in the Fire Service. For already 7 years I have been working in the oil and gas industry, I received second higher education (distance) as Oil Engineer, which is necessary for my position nowadays.

I always wanted to get professional education of Manager — Master of Business Administration, but due to various circumstances, it was impossible. I knew that MBA is taught in the USA and Europe, but training there is rather an expensive luxury, besides a good knowledge of English is necessary. In fact I was almost ready to choose a school abroad. The only question was about resources.

Once in spring I saw the advertising of MBS on an Internet pages, and at first glance I didn't believe the price. And it seemed so easy (at first sight) to gain the MBA Diploma.

But after contacting the School administration, I received explanations, read feedback and understood that it was exactly what I needed.

After the training began, I found out that certainly not everything was that simple. Training is organized at the highest professional level, in addition very rigid control of gained knowledge at all grade levels covers all management spheres.

Training is also not easy, but this way it is more pleasant to study the subject well, answer all control questions, get a passing score and move to the following subject/module.

I won't say that everything for me was smooth and successful: there were problems (personal), connected with installation of necessary programs, the Internet, delivery of tests. But, as they say, «no pain, no gain», MBA diploma goes without saying!

At present there are many students in Kazakhstan who undergo the MBS program, and that shows a huge popularity of The School not only in Moscow, Russia, but also in all former Soviet Union.

I wish MBS further progress, progress in development of distance learning and training of professional managers.
